At the PROJPRZEM MAKRUM factory, specialists of MAKRUM, a brand representing the industrial sector of the Industrial Group, tested hydraulic booms – another project carried out at the request of a foreign client. With this implementation, Makrum again returns to operations for the offshore industry.
Hydraulic booms will work on the oil platform. Their task will be to separate, move and position the tensioner rings and DAT cylinders back on board. Radio-controlled manipulators should follow the movements of the floating platform. The prototype is designed so that in case of overload with external forces it turns off without causing damage to DAT cylinders and tensioning rings.
Offshore is an industry branch associated with the exploitation of the seabed when extracting oil and gas. It covers both production and operation of objects used for underwater works as well as construction and operation of offshore wind turbines and pipelines. Production for this sector constituted a historically large share in MAKRUM projects, in recent years decreasing its scale in favor of the flagship products of this brand – the world-famous MAKRUM crushing and grinding machines.
