PROJPRZEM MAKRUM S.A. summarized the first quarter of this year. The company generated almost 50 million revenue, and among the segments of the Group’s operations, the docing solutions segment has maintained its growth dynamics.

Consolidated revenues of the PROJPRZEM MAKRUM Group in the first quarter of 2019 amounted to PLN 48.4 million – a 13% decrease compared to Q1 2018. Operating profit was at the level of PLN 0.5 million, and net profit of PLN 0.3 million. The Group’s EBITDA amounted to PLN 0.9 million. The decline in the growth rate is mainly due to the stabilization of industrial construction activity, which was responsible for the rapid increase in the Group’s results in previous periods.

„After dynamic increases in past periods, the first quarter was characterized by a decrease in the intensity of construction projects and steel constructions. During the discussed period, we completed important projects, it was also an intensive negotiation period in which new contracts were signed in the area of industrial construction and steel structures” – said Piotr Szczeblewski, President of the Management Board of PROJPRZEM MAKRUM S.A.

Three main operating segments were identified in the Q1 report. Docking solutions, ie the segment perceived as the most prospective in connection with the boom on the e-commerce market and the development of distribution centers, recorded revenues of PLN 29.5 million, which means a 10% increase compared to the same period of last year. In the reporting period, this segment had over 60% share in revenues of PROJPRZEM MAKRUM.

The industrial construction segment generated PLN 12.9 million in revenue. This is the first quarter in the history of PROJPRZEM Budownictwo without a developed growth, which results from the contracting structure. In previous periods, high-margin contracts were settled. Currently, the company is implementing the most important contracts for entities such as Starion Poland, Luvena or Shapers’ Poland. Last month, PROJPRZEM MAKRUM announced the conclusion of two new significant contracts with Flextronics and Aluplast, worth PLN 23 and 35 million, respectively.

“The complexity of new projects required in this case to extend the time needed for the necessary reconciliations, which resulted in the signing of significant contracts in the first month of the second quarter, which we reported recently. In steel constructions also negotiations are underway which should end with the signing of significant contracts for this sector. In the opinion of the management board, we should note an improvement in results in the subsequent quarters of this year” – added Piotr Szczeblewski.

The segment of machines and steel constructions currently, according to strategic assumptions, adopts an engineering model of activity, focusing on the sale of own products for the mining and raw materials processing industry, while limiting the service activity on external documentation. The effect of this assumption is the decline in the importance of the segment in the Group’s revenue structure. In the last quarter, it contributed PLN 5.6 million. This reporting segment also includes the sale of the Group’s latest product – MODULO innovative parking systems.

The most important events in the company in the first three months of the year included recommendation of dividend payment for the next year in a row.
