PROJPRZEM MAKRUM S.A. summed up the three quarters of 2018, once again recording an increase in the most important financial indicators, including revenue by 42%. Among the segments of the Group’s activity, the biggest leap was once again recorded by the industrial construction sector.
Consolidated revenues of PROJPRZEM MAKRUM Group in the three quarters of this year amounted to PLN 196.1 million, increasing by 42% compared to Q3 2017. Operating profit was PLN 14 million, compared to PLN 7 million in the same period last year, and net profit increased to PLN 9.1 million, compared to PLN 3.5 million in the previous year. The Group’s EBITDA increased by 55% to PLN 16.6 million.
“The past three quarters were a very fruitful time for the company. Not only did we accelerate growth in the most important operating segments of our Industrial Group, but we also shared our profit with shareholders by paying a high dividend. We are seeing an increasingly positive reception of the company by the market, which is also beginning to be visible in our share price. However, we still have a great potential for development” – comments Piotr Szczeblewski, President of the Management Board of PROJPRZEM MAKRUM S.A.
Indeed, in October alone, the company’s share price rose by almost 25%. The dividend was paid on 12 September in the amount of PLN 1.10 per share. This amount, originally set at PLN 1, was increased at the request of one of the participants of the General Meeting approving the payment.
The Q3 report identifies three main operating segments. This time again, the highest profitability in the Group was achieved by the industrial construction segment, which is a result of the execution of high-margin contracts concluded last year. The segment recorded 75 million revenues, compared to 12.3 million in Q3 2017. Due to the dynamic development, at the beginning of November the company decided to open a branch in Wrocław. This is the third branch of the company, after Bydgoszcz and Poznań.
Docking solutions, i.e. the company’s operating segment perceived as the most promising due to the boom in the e-commerce market and the development of distribution centres, recorded revenues of PLN 96 million (76.2 million after Q3 2017). This reporting segment also includes sales of the Group’s newest product – the MODULO innovative parking systems. In total, this segment holds nearly a half of shares in the company’s revenues.
The only segment in PROJPRZEM MAKRUM activity that did not increase as compared to the previous year was the segment of steel machines and structures. It recorded PLN 23 million of revenue. Their reduction compared to the previous year is a result of disposal of an inefficient production plant in Sępólno Krajeńskie. Currently, works are underway on increasing the production potential of the key plant of the company in Koronowo near Bydgoszcz. The Machine Segment will currently, in line with the strategic assumptions, focus on sales of own products for the raw material extraction and processing industry, limiting its service activities based on third-party documentation.
