Makrum is a brand that has been supplying crushing and grinding machines for over 150 years. Its products have been working in the most extreme conditions for customers in Poland and around the world for years. This time, one of the brand’s mills was implemented in Montenegro.

MAKRUM specialists completed the assembly and the first operational tests of the 41.01 type rod mill. This difficult challenge was successful and without complications, despite the conditions in which the installation took place. The mill has to work at a height of about 1,300 m, where the customer’s mill has been built from scratch. Due to the prevailing weather conditions – in the winter the temperature reaches even -30*C, the cooling system of the mill was modified accordingly – i.e. water cooling was replaced with closed system of cooling panes, in which the refrigerant is glycol. This solution will allow for trouble-free commissioning and operation of the mill even in conditions of extremely low temperatures.

The transport was no less a challenge than the technological side of the machine. After the mill had traveled almost all of Europe, it had to be transported to the very top of the mountain. And although the steam drum is 7 m long and its diameter is almost 4 m, MAKRUM specialists managed to reach the top, which once again proved that there are no impossible implementation for them.

We want to provide our products and services with the highest quality and reliable durability. Experience in the implementation of specialized projects and a rich list of references prove that we are able to meet the requirements of each client. Our motto is ‘innovation supported by experience’ – we want to include a 150-year history of the brand and innovative technological solutions according to which MAKRUM products are created. Today, we can proudly say that we are a leading manufacturer of crushing and grinding machines.
